We want to get a full picture of what is happening with a patient. That’s the only way we can get to a proper diagnosis, and we believe that’s critical if we’re to put in place a plan or protocol that has a chance at being effective.
HOW THE PROCESS WORKS
A patient may come in presenting with brain fog, low energy, and a history of “thyroid issues”. If they have done previous blood work, we will review it, however the vast majority of the time the blood work we see coming from a patient is just not in the same league that we utilize. We then proceed to a diagnostic panel that will allow us to get to a correct diagnosis of the issue, and what may be causing it.
We have found patients that, due to not having detailed enough blood work, had been living with Lupus, Hashimotos Thyroiditis, and other auto-immune issues for years with no diagnosis and no answers.
The reason many offices will not do advanced blood testing is because insurance won’t pay for it. It won’t be considered “medically necessary”, therefore it won’t be paid to a doctors office. We offer many of these tests at very competitive cash rates, and aren’t restricted by what insurance will or won’t pay.
Without good blood work, the only other option is to “guess” at what is going on inside the body. We don’t guess – we test, and this gives us the opportunity to ensure we address the REAL problem that a patient is trying to solve.
