What Makes Thrive Arvada Different: Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP)

When most people search “chiropractor near me,” they expect spinal adjustments and maybe some soft tissue work. That’s a solid foundation, but Thrive Arvada goes further with Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), the most extensively researched spinal rehabilitation technique available in chiropractic today.

CBP goes beyond symptom relief. Rather than simply reducing pain during a visit, CBP therapy uses precisely applied traction, spinal molding, and mirror-image adjusting to progressively restore the spine’s natural curvature. When the spine holds proper alignment, nerve function improves, muscles work more efficiently, and pain is far less likely to return. It’s the difference between a temporary fix and a structural correction that lasts.

Not many chiropractors in Arvada or the surrounding Denver metro area are certified in CBP… Dr. Jon Follett at Thrive is. If you’ve been to other chiropractors and felt like your results plateaued, or if you’ve been told your spinal degeneration can’t be reversed, CBP is worth a serious conversation.

Conditions Treated at Thrive Health Systems Arvada

When residents of Arvada, Wheat Ridge, Westminster, and the surrounding Jefferson County communities search for a chiropractor nearby, these are the most common issues that bring them in:

Back Pain — Lower, mid, and upper back pain from postural strain, disc issues, muscle imbalances, or degenerative changes. Thrive’s diagnostic-first approach identifies the structural source before beginning treatment.

Neck Pain — Whether from desk work, poor sleep posture, or old injuries, neck pain responds well to chiropractic care, especially when the underlying cervical curve is addressed through CBP.

Sciatica — Radiating pain, numbness, or tingling running from the lower back into the legs is often rooted in lumbar disc compression or sacroiliac misalignment. Thrive’s spinal decompression therapy is particularly effective here.

Headaches and Migraines — A significant percentage of chronic headaches originate from cervical spine dysfunction. Correcting spinal alignment and reducing nerve pressure can dramatically reduce headache frequency and intensity.

Shoulder, Elbow, and Knee Pain — Joint pain throughout the extremities often traces back to spinal imbalances that create uneven load and compensation patterns. Thrive addresses the chain, not just the symptom.

Upper Crossed Syndrome — The combination of rounded shoulders, forward head posture, and upper back tightness that’s become epidemic in desk workers and frequent phone users. CBP spinal rehab is specifically suited to correcting this.

Sciatica and Lower Extremity Symptoms — Nerve pain traveling into the legs, hip, or feet often responds well to decompression and corrective adjustments.

Sleep Problems and Fatigue — Pain disrupts sleep, and chronic sleep disruption makes pain worse. Addressing the structural drivers of discomfort often produces significant improvements in sleep quality.

Functional Medicine Concerns — Patients dealing with immune dysfunction, GI problems, energy challenges, or hormonal imbalances can access Thrive’s Functional Medicine services alongside chiropractic care.

Chiropractic Services at Thrive Arvada

The Arvada location provides a comprehensive menu of treatments, all coordinated around your personalized care plan:

Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP) — Thrive Arvada’s signature offering. The most researched spinal remodeling system in chiropractic, using traction, mirror-image adjustments, and rehabilitation exercises to restore proper spinal curves. CBP has been published in hundreds of peer-reviewed studies and produces lasting structural results beyond conventional adjustments.

Chiropractic Adjustments — Expert spinal and extremity manipulation to correct misalignments, restore joint mobility, and reduce nerve interference. The foundation of every care plan.

Spinal Decompression Therapy — Motorized traction technology that gently creates negative pressure within spinal discs, promoting retraction of herniated disc material and restoring disc height. Highly effective for disc-related back and neck pain, sciatica, and radiating arm or leg symptoms.

Class IV Laser Therapy — Medical-grade photobiomodulation that penetrates deep into tissue to reduce inflammation, accelerate cellular repair, and relieve pain — without medication or downtime.

Soft Tissue Therapy — Myofascial release, trigger point work, and other hands-on techniques targeting the muscles and connective tissue that support (or hinder) spinal alignment. Dr. Follett has a particular specialty here.

Flexion Distraction — A gentle, non-force technique using a specialized table to decompress spinal discs and open the joint spaces of the lumbar spine. Especially well-suited for disc herniations, spinal stenosis, and patients who can’t tolerate high-velocity adjustments.

Functional Movement Training — Corrective exercise programming designed to reinforce spinal alignment between visits and build the strength that sustains long-term results.

Functional Medicine — For patients seeking natural approaches to systemic health issues — immune function, digestive health, sleep and energy challenges, metabolic imbalances — Thrive integrates functional medicine into comprehensive care plans.

Digital X-Ray & Analysis — On-site imaging with detailed markup showing curvature, alignment, and structural findings, providing the data foundation for every personalized care plan.

Meet Dr. Jon Follett, DC,  Arvada’s CBP Chiropractor

Dr. Jon Follett, Doctor of Chiropractic BS in Biology, University of Iowa Doctor of Chiropractic, Palmer College of Chiropractic — Davenport, Iowa Certifications: Chiropractic BioPhysics (CBP), Activator, Class IV Laser Therapy, Spinal Decompression

Dr. Follett’s path to chiropractic care began before he ever stepped into a clinic. As a United States Air Force Security Forces member, he watched fellow service members cycle through allopathic treatments for pain and injury, often with diminishing returns and significant side effects. That experience ignited his interest in holistic approaches to health, and chiropractic care specifically.

After his military service, Dr. Follett pursued a BS in Biology at the University of Iowa, where he also volunteered with the University of Iowa VA to help rehabilitate veterans. That work deepened his conviction that the body, given proper structural support and natural care, could recover far more than conventional medicine often expects.

He went on to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa (the founding institution of the chiropractic profession) where he served in the Philanthropy office and Vets Club, continuing his commitment to veteran care. At Palmer, he developed strong interests in soft tissue integration and flexion distraction, both of which remain central to his clinical approach today.

After graduating in October 2014, Dr. Follett pursued advanced training that set him apart: Chiropractic BioPhysics certification, the highest level of spinal rehabilitation in the profession. He then spent two years at a multidisciplinary practice in Northern Colorado, adding certifications in Class IV laser therapy, spinal decompression, and Power Plate technology.

Dr. Follett is proud to serve the Arvada and Denver metro community alongside his wife, who serves on the Jefferson County public health department. When he’s not at the clinic, you’ll likely find him and his family somewhere in the Colorado mountains.

Why Residents of Arvada Choose Thrive Over Other Chiropractors Nearby

CBP-certified care. Most chiropractors in the Arvada and Wheat Ridge area don’t offer Chiropractic BioPhysics. Dr. Follett’s CBP certification means patients have access to the most research-backed spinal correction system available,  an advantage that’s particularly meaningful for people with chronic pain or structural disc problems.

Veteran-centered experience. Dr. Follett’s background (Air Force service, VA volunteer work, Palmer Vets Club) gives him a specific depth of understanding for veterans and active-duty service members. If you’ve felt like previous providers didn’t quite understand what you’ve been through physically, this matters.

Diagnostic before prescriptive. Your care plan is built on your data… your X-rays, your exam findings, your health history … not a generic protocol. Thrive doesn’t guess; they assess, plan, execute, and track results.

Multi-modal under one roof. CBP adjustments, spinal decompression, laser therapy, soft tissue work, functional medicine, and corrective exercise are all coordinated at the same clinic. No referrals required. No disconnected providers.

Transparent progress tracking. Thrive benchmarks where you start and re-evaluates throughout your care plan. You’ll always know if you’re on track, and if adjustments need to be made, they’re made.

Accepts insurance, with financing available. Thrive works with most major insurance plans and offers flexible payment options, including zero-percent financing, to make care accessible.
